Weekly Challenge Results - "At the Movies"

It's Oscar night at Inspiration Avenue. The stars are tripping down the red carpet and the champagne is bubbling over along with all the excitement. Who will win the coveted awards for the 'At the Movies' challenge?

Your host for the evening, risen especially from the grave for this auspicious occasion is the legendary Audrey Hepburn. She invites her first co-host James Cameron to present the award for BEST VISUAL EFFECT.... Are we ready dahlings, then we'll begin...

Silence falls as James opens the gold envelope...

And the winner is... Yvonne for The Clown.

Jack Nicholson's easy swagger takes him stageward. His relaxed posture almost makes us forget why we are here... BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY goes to Magpie for Never complain; Never explain!

Hugh Jackman now leaps on the stage to rapturous applause which continues long and loud as he announces Lisa of Priti-Studios the proud owner of the ART DIRECTION gong for Night with the Stars.

Robert Downey Jnr pauses and smiles before he reads the BEST SCREENPLAY card and he invites his good friend Lisa WrightStuff onto the stage to collect her award for possibly the longest film title this season - Sherlock Holmes and the case of the missing Pandoran avatar.
For Susan Boyle, the last year has been like something from the movies and who better to present the award for best song? Drum roll, it goes to Lulu for Cinema.

Easily the best dressed lady of the evening, Nicole Kidman sweeps majestically onto the stage in a beautiful flowing Dior creation to present, naturally, Best Costume to... Jessica for Marilyn Pendant.

Still in his Elephant Man make up John Hurt attempts to announce the winner of BEST MAKE-UP and Audrey comes to his aid... Evil Edna for The Yummy Mummy.

The event is drawing to a close, just a few categories remain. She was runner-up for best song last year for Bette Davis Eyes, but this year Artangel reaps the rewards of her efforts and takes home the prestigious BEST PERFORMANCE BY A LEADING ACTRESS for Bette Davis.

Are we finished? Of course not, for what remains is the most sought-after of all prizes. BEST PICTURE. The competition was tough, the artistry outstanding, but in the end there could be only one winner. Robert Pattison takes to the stage and welcomes Luthien with a big kiss and a hug that seems to last a little too long for propriety!

Best Special Effects goes to Beth Holcombe for The Wizard of OZ! Congratulations!

Thanks to everyone for their efforts. It's been a wonderful show and you should all be proud of yourselves. I'm off to the after show party to nibble on a vol-au-vent or two... Until next time darlings...
