Weekly Art Challenge "Magical Transformations"

This weeks challenge is "Magical Transformations" Something that started out in this life as one thin and then became another, such as this chrysalis became a butterfly. It might be clay or pottery that becomes a piece of jewelry or a plain canvas that becomes a mixed media piece or a gorgeous painting, it may be a photo of a bud and an open flower, it might be a playing card turned into a beautiful  ATC or an ugly duckling something that transforms into something special, or whatever you think fits the theme.
If you'd like to participate in this week's challenge simply write up a post on your own blog and come back and leave the link in your comment on this post, so we can share all of the submissions next Sunday.Remember by participating you are automatically put in our monthly giveaway. We'd love it if you would grab our weekly art challenge button and added it to your sidebar. It's such a treat to see how each weeks challenge is interpreted. One lucky participant will win something special from our fellow teammate, Luthien. It's sure to be something very special. Have fun with this challenge! Happy Creating!

Here is my entry, the book page is from the water babies which I thought was rather relevant considering the amount of time Dragonfly Larvae spends on the bottom of the pond...

I can't believe I haven't been here before, but I just discovered IA via a follower on my blog. This is a beautiful blog and I love the idea of your party! My most recent painting definitely fits the bill for this challenge. It started life as a cardboard box under the table in my studio. I was goig to use it for shipping another piece, but last Sunday, I wanted to do a small piece and didn't have a canvas. This painting has quite a backstory which you can read on my blog http//:amusingmuses2.blogspot.com

I would love to return and participate in more challenges.eseshn

Tammy, my Mother lives in Texas and listens to a radio news program from TX state network. They reported a few weeks ago that in Mexico...illegal cutting of timber has destroyed over 50% of the Monarch's winter hibernation area killing millions of butterflies. Encourage your readers to plant hosts plants to help the butterflies recover. Here is a link about them: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monarch_(butterfly) Blessings, Deborah
