Weekly Challenge - "Summer Fun & Relaxation

Here's an easy challenge:

Summer Fun and Relaxation

Summer is almost here, and first I must apologize to our friends
in the southern hemisphere. I know you are experiencing the
opposite seasons, but I hope participating in this challenge
will bring warm smiles to your faces!

What is the most enjoyable part of summertime for you?
Here are some summer images to get your imagination in high gear.

Water always comes to mind, whether it's the ocean, a stream,
or a lawn sprinkler.

To some, summer brings thoughts of picnics, backyard barbecues,
and fresh homegrown veggies and fruits.

We gravitate to outdoor activities like concerts, art shows, fairs,
and farmers' markets. Maybe the zoo or an amusement park.

If you have a happy place where you relax, bask in the sunshine
and watch your cares melt away, by all means
get it down on paper
fashion it into a piece of jewelry
make some altered art
share it in your favorite medium
whatever it may be!

One of my favorite parts of summer is
a delightful breeze wafting through the house.

Summer here in Hawaii means it's time for the beach! I love to roam and pick up items to possibly make jewelry with. Beach glass in blue and green hues and watching others cast their fishing lines from the shore is the inspiration behind this piece! Starfish is also one of my favorite things....I just had to buy some for photography purposes!

By the way, the other really cool thing about these challenges is that I am much more likely to post to my blog every week.

Thank you.

Wow sometimes I surprise myself. I had my mind set on set on a paper collage with clothes on the line (that wonderful window and breeze picture reminded me of summers when my mother hung out clothes on the line). However, something else happened instead. I made the challenge, I didn't get other things done, but hey, it's all about priorities! Ha and you can see where mine are!

Thanks for viewing and can't wait to check out all the summer fun!

My summer heaven is at sun-up, down by the pond in my backyard, watching all the wildlife, especially the birds. So here's my painting called "First Light."
