Weekly Challenge - "Hope"

Whether you are settling in with your kids preparing for a new school year or going through a tough time and needing something to hold on to, everyone has those moments that cause them to assess their seasons in life and their reasons for moving forward one step at a time. So for this week's challenge, I chose HOPE as the focus.

I am finding my way clear after two major upheavals this year: packing up a house for a move to Germany and then coming home to wait and see what our family's future holds with my hubby's deployment and subsequent duty station. You bet I am holding onto hope!

So here's how the challenge works: you have until Saturday August 14 to post your link in the comments of your interpretation of hope. It can be with any medium, whether it be clay or glass, yarn or paper, words or sayings: CREATIVITY IS KEY

Then check back here on Sunday August 15, 2010 for the gallery of hope and be encouraged and inspired!

Awwww, Robin! What branch of service? I am getting ready to marry my soldier. He just returned from Iraq. I completely understand the waiting and hoping game. We are crossing our fingers, too, to see what will happen for our family as far as duty stations and subsequent deployments....my heart goes out to you. Thinking of an entry for this theme.....

I love the theme of Hope that Inspiration Avenue is featuring this week and can't wait to see everyone's entries!

Below is the link to my post on Hope:

http://create-with-joy.blogspot.com/2010/08/quilling-poetry.html

What is different about the post is that the poem I wanted to share with all of you is NOT written by me - NOR is the card that I've used to illustrate the poem designed by me. However, it's been a difficult week for me, and when I came across this poem, it really lifted my spirits and spoke hope into my heart - which is what the theme this week is all about. So, I wanted to share it with you and my readers in case someone else needed that same touch as well!

Hugs
Ramona
