Weekly Challenge - "Other Worlds"

Let us journey into the worlds of fantasy and science fiction. What magic can you conjure from the depths of your creativity my friends?

Our challenge to you this week is create art from ‘another world’. Take this prompt how you wish, but show us a place we’ve never been, except in our imaginations…

Perhaps your artistic journey will take you under the sea, into deepest space or into a futuristicfuture or altered past. Will you be inspired by literature or film or maybe just take us to the secreat depths of your conscious - the land of dreams...

The Messenger by Aphostel

Will there be dragons?

For fantasy inspiration, I always enjoy browsing these sites: DeviantArt and Elfwood. Do share your own within the comments. Can't wait to journey with you next week.
Post your submissions via the comments section by 4pm EST on 8th August, then return here later that day to view them all together.

This promises to be one of our most interesting themes yet! I hope I will have time (and the imagination) to submit an entry, but if not, I will definitely be looking forward to everyone's creations.

Lisa W ~ I wanted to comment on both of your paintings, but I have the worst time leaving a comment on your blog. Every time I try, my browser (firefox) freezes up or quits ~ ACK! Since I know you will be back to check comments, I'll leave one here.

I love both fairies, especially the tooth fairy. Both are so light and airy, just like you would imagine fairies to be! Great job, and great job on this challenge too!
