Weekly challenge - Royal and/or Wedding

There's a big wedding happening in these parts later this week. It's the perfect excuse to get all regal, drag out the union jacks and put up some bunting.

Let's help our Kate & Wills celebrate their upcoming nuptuals with some Royal Wedding-themed creations. (Though if you prefer, you could just use the themes 'royal' or 'wedding' on their own.

Lisa, I love this theme. Although I don't have anything for it yet. I've become enthralled by all things Royal-Wedding-associated, so I should be able to think of something. I'm intrigued by Kate Middleton. A commoner! Imagine...it's like a fairy tale!

Good one Lisa! I'm not a huge Royalist myself, but I must say I rather love those teabag toppers - fab!

Maggie, if Kate Middleton is a commoner I dread to think what that makes me lol! ;)

Angie, haha! Did I use the wrong term? Was watching a show on TV last night and that's how she was described. Though I imagine just because she is not "royalty", might not mean she is a "commoner"? Although I was surprised to see that her great grandfather was a coal miner. I think it's fab! Kind of like in America where "anyone" can grow up to be president. Or so they say...

Lisa - Thanks so much for stepping in this week and for providing such an inspired theme. Great idea. Love the images you've used for the post. Looking forward to giving this a go!

Being an American, I can't say I understand the fascination with this royal stuff. They're just people, IMO. I'll skip this week. Those tea bag toppers would be fun for any wedding, though!

Lol Maggie - no you didn't use the wrong term, they do say that about her! It just always makes me smile hearing anyone with such a posh accent described as "common" ;)

Here's my royal couple. The mystery of what Kate will wear at the wedding has been solved--she's wearing a custom designed Zetti ensemble!
