Inspiration Avenue Weekly Challenge

This week it's time to get your Salsa on!

The theme is
TROpiCal!

Technically, the tropics is the region between
23 degrees north and 23 degrees south
of the equator. But for our purposes, we'll be channeling
all the adjectives that describe tropical
and creating a piece of art to match.

So maybe you love tropical fruit

or you love the flowers, birds and colorful fish of the hotter climates

Do you love to cha cha, salsa, or rumba
til the wee hours of the morning?

Or my favorite:
I can imagine relaxing on a secluded beach, balmy breezes blowing
and cool drink in hand, doing absolutely nothing!

Think of all the sights and sounds, the colors
the laid back attitude, and delicious food
associated with the word TROPICAL

Do you feel inspired to create something
colorful, sultry, delicious, juicy, and carefree?

No matter what kind of art you create,
we want to see your take on TROPICAL!

(Click the links near the photos for more info on each one
or in the case of the fish, just click right on the fish itself!)

Guidelines are in the right sidebar >>>
Let's see your tropical creations!

Here's my tropical creation! While I was working on it, a heavy downpour began here and is continuing. Seems appropriate...

I have a whole tropical sketchbook posted! http://su.pr/28e8Lc (but please just choose your favourite image, not all of them!)

Great topic as we are still longing for summer in the North!

I am trying to work my way back into my own drawings. So this time I have used colored pencil combined with digital images. What fun...love this challenge.

This has me singing that old advert "Lilt... with the totally tropical taste..."

Here's my tropical bloom taken from somewhere (almost) tropical - anywhere hotter than England is tropical in my eye!
