Weekly challenge - Icy

As my friends across the pond have been complaining about the heat (we should be so lucky here in the UK!), I thought that maybe they'd like this week's challenge. A chance to cool it right down, chill and maybe even shiver a bit! And for those of you in the Southern hemisphere - a spot of what you might still be enjoying!

Think blues and cool hues...

Whatever you choose, just post a link to you entry (in the comments to this post) by 4pm EST on Sunday 21st August then come back to see the results lined up. You might want to wrap up warm - I've a feeling it's going to be very chilly!!

Time to revisit last winter for inspiration. A very welcome idea! (Never in my life thought I'd say that :)

Beautiful picture inspiration Lisa! I ran out of time for last week's sun kissed so am going to try hard to complete something in time this week.

Great theme! I like how we've gone from one extreme weather wise to the other - that does remind me of our weather in the UK!

I don't think this is finished, but I have no time to rework or add to it.

Have a great weekend, everyone. We're headed for another 100F plus day, so this was quite cooling.

Well, its hot here in Va. so I figured if I painted something cold it would be like a breath of fresh, cool air...and since this challenge seems to go right along with my thinking, here is my entry...

Our summer is so short here in Seattle, that I do't want to tempt the weather gods by thinking about winter, but in the interest of art, here's my efforts:
