I don't know about you guys, but right now, I'm finding it rather difficult to have any gratitude for summer right now. I keep trying to remember those winter days when I'll be dreaming of hot sunshiney days and warm, balmy evenings- but it's just been too hot to really appreciate summer!
So, for the this week's challenge, I invite you all to create something that is "sun kissed", and based on something you love about summer!
Maybe you're grateful for the flowers.....
or bike riding around town.....
or walking on the beach..............
or just the sun drenched COLORS of summer

Great images for an inspiring theme. We don't tend to get a lot of sun here in the UK so it'll be an excuse to create some of my own :-) Thanks Stephanie.

Summer for me has been the same this year as it was for you, Steph (although I admit you have been even hotter :) Right about this time I usually begin to get panicky about summer coming to a close. But not this year...I'm actually looking forward to fall! I'm tired of stewing in a steam bath!
Love this challenge though ~ it's a chance to remember what we usually love about summer.
Oh, forgot to say ~ I love the *inspiration* art you chose!

In South Africa we are starting each day with icy cold and snow capped mountains, so this was a great challenge for me. Sun Kissed says Golden skin, golden beaches, golden skies and golden sunsets to me and from there it was a short jump to the golden radiance of piece of art - quite a stretch in the end, I suppose :D. What I love about summer is vacation! A chance to see things with relaxed eyes and mind and store up inspiration. I live where it is nearly always sunny so I love to try to paint light and shadows. Fun challenge!
