Inspiration Avenue Weekly Challenge

It's Play Time!

This weeks challenge if you choose to accept it is

"Nursery Rhymes."

Revisit your childhood for a moment, and try to remember the cute little rhymes and fairly tales that were told to you as a little one.

What did you like about them? Did you like the story or did you simply like to look at the pictures?

The challenge is easy peasy.  You can create your own nursery rhyme and illustrate it, or you can interpret your all time favorite in any fashion. You choose.

Our rules for submitting are on the right side bar.
We welcome everyone.
Have fun and get creative.
I can't wait to see the results.

Inspiration Avenue Weekly Challenge

Summer Sun Challenge Entries
The summer sun is blazing away!
We have sunrises to sunsets, and everything in between.

And for those who are still waiting for
the sun to make an appearance:

Should we put a notice on a milk carton?

Some are enjoying the summer sun in their own back (or front) yards:

I love these Summer Solstice beauties:

How about traveling from the sun dappled forest to the beach...

and more wonderful cards and tags:

I hope everyone is enjoying a sun-drenched summer!

Check in Monday for next week's challenge.
(Hint: It will seem like child's play :)

Inspiration Avenue Weekly Challenge

Summer afternoon ~ summer afternoon;
to me those have always been the
two most beautiful words in the English language.
~ Henry James

The challenge theme this week is
Summer Sun
(with apologies to our friends in the Southern hemisphere
who are experiencing the shortest days of the year
as we celebrate the Summer Solstice on June 21 ~
feel free to use Winter Solstice as your topic,
or revisit some wonderful summer memories!)

Summer Sun needs little explanation,
and our experiences are all unique.
What does the warmth of the summer sun mean to you . . .

. . . and how would you express it within your chosen medium?

“A perfect summer day is when
the sun is shining,
the breeze is blowing,
the birds are singing,
and the lawn mower is broken.
”
~ James Dent

Guidelines are in the sidebar, if you have not participated before.
The "rules" are very minimal, mostly you just need to get creative!
Have fun with the summer sun!
