Paper Dolls

Did you ever play with paper dolls when you were little?

It may depend on your age (not asking for disclosures here lol!)

My mom, who was born during the depression, 

played with paper dolls all the time. 

She and her sister would make their own.

She made me paper dolls when I was young and I was enchanted

for a while, but soon abandoned them for Barbie or Chatty Cathy.

Those of you younger than me may not 

have ever played with paper dolls!

Paper dolls are everywhere in the art world today

and now is your chance to get creative and make your own,

because that is the challenge this week!

Think of making them into 

bookmarks 

wall art

digital collage sheets 

cupcake toppers

 assemblage pieces

gift tags 

greeting cards

 journal pages

I'm sure you can think of more!

Design your own, or take images of historical figures 

and turn them into something new and whimsical.

since it is the Year of the Dragon!
