Weekly Art Challenge - Mail

"You've Got Mail!"
Hi, I'm Jenn and this is my first challenge as a new member of Inspiration Avenue! I love getting snail mail, all the myriad colors of the stamps, sometimes there's a pretty address label on it and it's extra special if the letter has come airmail because then you get the red and blue border around the envelope, I love that!

I thought it would be fun to see everyone's interpretation of how they feel about receiving mail. You can do any kind of creative art, mixed media, collage, typesetting, painting, drawing, scrapbooking, papercrafts, or hey, you could crochet a mailbox if you're so inclined! ;o)  Here are some lovely examples from some lovely Etsy Shops.

(remember to click through and see other works by these amazing artists!)

Here on the left is my last, but cutest example. Those above are some fabulous pieces to give you a jumping off point. I was surprised when I put my search in to Etsy to see one of my bookmarks come up! I had forgotten that piece, lol. Does that mean I've already completed the challenge that I just posted?? (NO!! Silly, lazy girl!) Don't worry, I'll have a piece to post with the rest of you. Enjoy the week, hopefully you have lovely Spring weather wherever you are. One more month and Easter's here, Woohoo, my favorite thing, bunny chocolate! (Mom always eats his ears! I don't think I knew chocolate bunnies had ears for the first 6 years of my life! But I digress...)

I can't wait to see all your submissions! Oh, and here are the rules for those newbies that have just found us. (don't feel intimidated by the rules, just post your themed art, add a link to us or our button and come back here and add your link to the Linky tool below!) Remember, it's very important that you submit your artwork here by NOON SUNDAY EASTERN TIME. The clock is in the right sidebar, so don't be late for the party, peoples, lol. We'd miss you!

I'll be back at the end of the week with all your submissions, it'll be a mail party, I can't wait to see what comes in my virtual mailbox! (Fill my mailbox up below by adding a link to your blogpost featuring your mail themed artwork and add your name and title of your piece.) Well, this has just been so exciting for me. I'm loving being a member of IA. See everyone soon ( I gotta go get a hazelnut coffee!)
